GLOBAL WARNING

                                                 GLOBAL WARNING

Glaciers are melting, sea level increases, the forests are drying, and wildlife struggle to keep pace. It is increasingly clear that humans have caused most of the warming of the last century, by the emission of gases that trap heat, to enhance our modern life. Called greenhouse gases and their levels are getting higher, now and in the past 65,000 years.

We call the result global warming, but it is causing a series of changes in the Earth's climate or weather long-term patterns vary by location. As the Earth spins each day, the new heat turn rotates picking up moisture from the oceans, rising here and settling there. It is changing the pace of climate that all living beings have become accustomed.

What will we do to slow this warming? How will we deal with the changes that have already been implemented? As we try to understand it, the face of the Earth as we know it, its coasts, forests, farms and snow-capped mountains are on tenterhooks.
